    Hi!
just downloaded the plugin using the Update Manager from Source Force.

My SO is W2K, Eclipse Version: 3.3.0 Build id: I20070621-1340 (Europa)
    jdk1.6.0_02
When I check my Eclipse configuration I find it installed with Status: The feature is configured properly.

But: in New there is no CUP/FLEX option (under files, other, etc).
I tried to associate *.CUP to a specific Editor but no CLE or similar is shown.

    What did I do wrong?

    help please.

    thanks a lot.

      Hello

Go to "File|New|Other" or press "Ctrl+N". In the "New" wizard look for "CUP/LEX Files", expand it and you should find what you look for: "New Java-Cup Source" and "New JFlex Source"...

      Also, see https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=4190190.

Please note that the plugin is tested with Eclipse 3.1 and JDK-5.0; off the record, the plugin works with Eclipse 3.2 and 3.3, but I cannot tell what is happening on JDK-6.0.

Thank you for using this plugin

        Hi!
confirmed, it doesn't work over Java 1.6. I tried in a new PC with W. XP and Eclipse 3.3 but EE distro, the plugin seems well configured again but no option appears under new=other... or ctrl+n

        Thanks anyway.

          Hi

So, you mean in the new wizard there is no "CUP/LEX Files" group; I have the same Eclipse distro but with JDK-5.0 and I have that group.

          Try these steps:

          - create an empty CUP file (e.g. parser.cup) with your favourite editor under the project's folder
          - from Eclipse do a refresh on the project; if "Build Automatically" is checked you should see an error in the output console, since an empty file is not a valid CUP file
          - right click on the newly created file and select "Properties"

If the plugin works, you should see the "Java-Cup Properties" item in the properties dialog.

Also, check the "Error Log" view you may find useful info there.

      Hi again!
I tried the steps you proposed to me, but still nothing happens, I looked the Error Log and there is no message related to CLE.

When I go to Help>Software Updates>Manage Configuration>left tab: I can see the CUP/LEX Editor plug-in if I click Properties>Status it says "The feature is configured properly." but there is no option related to CUP files (context menu) and nothing in Window>Preferences.

I repeat you the configuration on my PC:

      WINDOWS XP Professional SP2.
Eclipse Platform :Version: 3.3.1.1 Build id: M20071023-1652
Java Runtime Enviroment on Eclipse: jre1.6.0_03

I can send you some Screen Shots if they may help.

Thank's a lot. I look forward to hearing from you.

      Raúl.
