Well, You have been busy...This looks much cleaner than before, course the VM looks to be mostly just a shell but, unless I'm just a total fool, most of that should be pretty straight forward. Got a couple of ideas for some tweaks to the compiler but I'll save those for later. So if the compiler is working then I'll begin playing with some of the simpler VM functions to get my feet wet and then see where that leads us. Thanks, for the updates. Subject: [Cup-Dev] Cup, death, and possible rebirth. Alright, I've looked into what I got here, and looks like what I have is what is in cvs. I re-added the API document, I don't remember why it was removed. Oh well. Cup will compile, if you also check out the cblist root directory, and compile and install it. The idea was I was going to start taking some of these general purpose things I could re-use in other projects, and start making a library. That was then. I still think I'd like a library, but, I think for now it's just wasted directories and link-time confusion. So, I'll be taking the functionality of cblist and moving it into the cup common directory. The compiler from what I see is in great shape, development-wise, but the VM needs the majority of the work. Currently Cup is in a state where it won't run anything. It's basically rewritten from the ground up, and incomplete. A better 'working' version is 0.0.12, however the code sucks. Sadly, I decided to re-write it, which, i don't regret. However, combining that with stopping work for 4 months while in the middle of a rewrite, I have some catchup to do. Anyway, will write more later. Keith |
