#49 Exception on Windows 10

Hello,

CUERipper v2.1.5 and v2.1.6 are not working on Windows 10.

I tried 2 different CDs. At a certain percentage (another one for each CD), CUERipper stops with this error:

Exception: Error reading CD: unit attention: POWER ON, RESET, OR BUS DEVICE RESET OCCURRED

Hints:

• CUERipper v2.1.5 worked fine on the same machine running Windows 7.
• I am using Windows 10 Pro, x64, Version 10.0.16299, Build 16299. I am running the application as administrator. I also tried running in Windows 7 compatibility mode with the same results.

How can the error be fixed?

Well, generally it works on Windows 10 of course. But i've heard reports before about some CD drives being incompatible. What is the model of your CD drive?

It's a LG drive: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H66N CB00

Why is CUERipper working with the CD drive in Windows 7 but not in Windows 10?

It seems that it is working now using v2.1.5.
Maybe a windows update fixed it.

But CD rips are reported as not accurate. I created a new ticket: bug #51

It happened again in Burst mode. In Secure mode it works, but reports extractions as not accurate.
