[this ticket might work as a master for general "brainstorming" whilst individual works on items might be put into multiple derived work package tickets]
as with the recent release of CUDA 8.0.44 nVidia has added several new features to their API.
this might include (but is not limited to):
native 8/16 bit data types
nvlink support
* Pascal architecture
please check what is really there and can be added to your tool in form of an informational display (caps query) or in form of a benchmark, or other sort of dealing with it.

Thanks for your proposal!
It might be interesting to add new features. Unfortunately I can't compile CUDA-Z with CUDA toolkit 7.5 and higher. It gives access violation cicc. I have to find some workaround for this difficulty before.
Beith best regards, AG

Hello,
On macOS 10.12 with latest Cuda toolkit 8 and latest Cuda driver 8.0.46 i get this error:
vcc warning : The 'compute20', 'sm20', and 'sm21' architectures are deprecated, and may be removed in a future release (Use -Wno-deprecated-gpu-targets to suppress warning).
nvcc fatal : The version ('80000') of the host compiler ('Apple clang') is not supported
the explanation from Nvidia is this:
For developers on Mac systems, click here to read a known limitation.

Xcode 8 is not currently supported with the CUDA Toolkit 8 compiler for Mac. We are working on providing an update shortly. Until then, the developers should use Xcode 7.x with the CUDA Toolkit 8 for compiling their code on Mac macOS 10.12. Alternatively, they can run applications compiled with older versions of CUDA Toolkit and Mac/Xcode on Mac macOS 10.12.
After cache cleaning your CUDA-Z 0.10.251 works, but CUDA-Z 0.11.259 not anymore (did on El Capitan)
Thanks for your developping
Thanks for mentioning Mac OSX version of toolkit. It's finally come out as 8.0.47. Good to know!
I hope this version will work better as 8.0.44.

Version 8.0.63 is out !
i checked those number and found it mainly mentioned for MacOS X.
when going for the download page and checking the final offer for some variants of Linux/Windows/Mac then there are only all the versions known since about last year.
sorry for now.
