CUBRID ODBC Driver Testing
Test procedure
Test procedure used for testing the ODBC driver installed by default with the engine:
1. Install CUBRID engine
2. Verify installation:
3. Run cubrid server start demodb
4. Open x64 ODBC Administrator Tool (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942976)
5. Create a new data source
6. Test connection using ODBC Test x64 (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms712676.aspx):
7. Test connection using 3rd party app – ODBC Query Tool x32 (http://sourceforge.net/projects/odbcquerytool/):
The problem occurs when a user installed cubrid 64 bit with 32 bit application. Because the user is not aware of application's bit exactly, ODBC installer having both 32 and 64 bit drivers should be provided.
