just like an xy mod pad.. I normally use horizontal sliders for this but it'd be great to be able to change the attribute assigned to the ribbon controler on the fly like you can with the xy pad.

    I never had any hardware with a ribbon controller so i'd need an example how does this work, is it like a slider or is it more like a pitch wheel (always bounces back to position 0)

    it depends on the synth, but generally what I'm requesting here is basically identical to the x-y modulator without the y axis.. low low priority request, it could probably just be done anyway with a combo box and an imageslider and a little bit of Lua, still thought it'd be cool for those who want to whip something up w/o having to do much Lua scripting.

    maybe just modify the xy modulator so we could set whether the modulator has an x, y or both axis.. then give two comboboxes if you want an xy, one combo box if you just want want x or y.

    pretty low priority considering all the other more important things on the table.
