#10 Images are not working

I work mainly with JPG and PNG images and photos. Thugh lately I have been unable to use them with your program. This worries me as even the older projects seem to be not opening with the program.

Is this because I am using Win10? I had Win10 when I got the program to play with, but I also did just update this to the 0.9.8 version. Any clue as to why the program has stopped recognizing the image types?
