I'm pleased to announce the release of GNU CSSC, version
1.00. This is the first public full release of CSSC. CSSC
has spent a long time in beta testing. This is because it
is a version control system and nobody wants a buggy version
CSSC ("Compatibly Stupid Source Control") is the GNU
project's equivalent for the traditional Unix SCCS suite.
It aims for full compatibility, including precise nuances of
behaviour, support for all command-line options, and in most
cases bug-for-bug compatibility. CSSC comes with an

Version 0.16 patchlevel 0 of GNU CSSC (the SCCS clone) has now been released. This is the first new release in over six months, and it contains several bug-fixes and enhancements (see the ChangeLog for details).
Version 0.14 alpha patchlevel 0 of GNU CSSC has now been released. This contains several fixes, some improvements to the documentation, but most interestingly a CGI script for browsing SCCS repositories with a web browser.
The parts of CSSC which are derived from BSD code (just the sccs.c program and its documentation) have had their license changed to remove the advertising clause.

GNU CSSC version 0.11alpha.pl4 is now available, and is intended as a baseline; CSSC's CVS repository will move to SourceForge as of this version.
The moving of the CSSC project to SourceForge continues. The web site has been updated, and the uploads section is now fully populated with both historic and current releases. The CVS respository will be transferred soon, and the bug tracking and support sections are open for business.
