Is it possible to use one connection in different processes?
First process installs conection and prepares required stmt, executes it and save state in shared mem for example and exit after all. Another process attaches shmem with prepared connection and statements end nexecutes it.

Within process, connections can be reused with multiple threads, but it cannot be passed on to another process via fork/any IPC mechanism.
Apache server with multiple worker threads should work as jdbc connection pooling is working.
