What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Registering with Asterisk Server over OpenVPN
2. Place call
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I don't know if there's much demand for this but we have 3-digit extensions inside our office so it was easy to setup CSipSimple filters on 3-digit phone numbers to dial via SIP.  The problem is that I don't have my VPN connection active all the time.  It would be nice if CSipSimple would provide the ability to launch/enable OpenVPN before the call and then terminate the VPN after the call.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Android 2.3.2 packaged by Pete Alfonso running on Motorola Droid

Please provide any additional information below.

I think it should be done through a plugin. As it is a very specific use case and I try to keep the app as simple as possible for mainstream users, this kind of issues should be addressed through plugins.

I'll leave the issue open so that if some body wants to implement this plugin it can ask for entry points in the app to do so. Maybe some api to add in csipsimple (broadcast intents) to allow third party apps to register to that.
