What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.A SIP call and a GSM cell call made to the phone simultaneously (or nearly simultaneously like with google voice forwarding the two calls)
2.
3.

What is the expected output?
csipsimple starts ringing, but then interrupted by GSM call.

What do you see instead?
I'd really like to see an option that prioritizes calls (GSM or SIP).  If I prioritize SIP calls, then the SIP incoming call will be displayed even if an incoming GSM call is also initiated.  Also, if incoming GSM call starts ringing the phone, and the SIP incoming call starts a second or two later, I'd like the incoming call screen to be replaced GSM -> SIP, so I can answer the SIP call.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.00-16 (market version)

Please provide any additional information below.

Reverse the expected and observed questions... I answered them backwards.  Thanks.

Regis, do you think there should be a FAQ entry about handling simultaneous calls?

Actually, when the GSM call begins ringing, the screen locks, and I cannot access the notification area to answer the SIP call.  Since an Android phone with Csipsimple installed technically has two "lines", there should be an option of which line the callee would like to answer in the event of having two calls simultaneously.  Perhaps, there could be two answer buttons on the ring display... one for VOIP, and one for GSM, so the user can choose which call to answer.

A solves-the-problem-for-most-people solution is to build a Google Voice switcher into CSipSimple. It would be the most logical place for it to go, because the rule would be to automatically turn off the cell line in Google Voice when one of the voip accounts (that is also in Google Voice) is online (i.e., typically when wifi is connected). There is no app that does really this.

Ok, I guess something better could be done if not in ringing mode. (For example if you are in sip call and recieve a gsm call)

Obviously, if it's a mobile data techno such as gprs/edge that does not allow both data and call (packet + circuit) at the same time, problem will not be present. But if the current used techno allow both it could be interesting to see what would be the best.

I guess some would like to be able to choose. (using settings or in call screen...)... well I've to see what can be done technically without using private APIs (cause stock SIP app use a lot of private api, and unfortunately I can't do that).

HOWEVER, when the GSM call interrupts the SIP call, they both stop ringing! This will cause me to miss many calls.
