Android can scale images to low-res, by the way.
Also please not that there is android devices with really hi-res displays, like tables (i saw the one with 1024x800 display)

Just done a quick pass on this screen resolutions issues.
Tested on my N1 (800x480 / hdpi too). And looks fine (there is maybe still some isolated resources with mid res).
If you find somewhere with a missing resource in hires please send a screenshot.
