I would be able to convert more people to sip simple (and leverage them into xmpp) if there was an option to give the appearance of less notification bar clutter. While not familiar with material spec I do not know if near zero pixel width is possible, but that would be better.

On kk442 sprint s5 disabling the notification icon not surprisingly reduces likelihood of receiving calls- or receiving sip simple texts. (For always allow receive)
