What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Place call on speakerphone on HTC Evo
2. Audio is very choppy.  It works okay over the earpiece as long as the screen is turned on.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
0.00-13, HTC Evo w/Android 2.2

You confirm that it's a different one?

Could you try changing the frequency of the stream? Settings > Media > Frequency.
You can try both 8 and 44 (to check what is the best frequency supported by the speakerphone).

I'll try to reproduce this later and see if it happens when the screen is on.

I guess was due to the PSP mode too. Let me know if not, but symptoms really look like the screen was turned off when calling over wifi.

You should not manually turn off the screen of your phone if on sip call over wifi with Evo.

You can left the phone going in dim (low back-light) mode. Considering the HTC bug it's the best thing I can do for now (unfortunately it will use battery since screen is still on but no choice).
