What steps will reproduce the problem?
It is not reproducible at will. Now and again, and I think it always happened when the device was on the charger, in the morning, when an call arrives, the device starts to vibrate but the screen is dark and there is no ringtone sound. When I press the power button, the screen lights up, the "answer/reject" screen appears, and ringtone starts.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Vibration, ringtone and the "answer/reject" screen should appear simultaneously.
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
The problem appeared at some time between .12-19 and .12-29, Android 2.2 on HTC Desire.

Ok, seems to be confirmed by another mail I received.
Thanks for the precision of the range version in which problem appeared, it will really help me to find what has caused the issue.

Now that I think about it, it is quite probable (not 100% but close) that this coincided with the AUDIOFOCUS changes.

For me problem remains in .13-01-bis the way I initially reported it: vibration but no ringtone and the screen does not light up.

Ok, since I didn't take time to solve this issue yet normal that it remains :)
Just a thought. Could you try to activate in Settings > User Interface "Use partial wake lock" (just above logs setting)? If it solves the problem, it can help me a lot to solve this problem.
@sukasem : do you reproduce intermittently or for each incoming SIP call? And what is the behavior for an incoming GSM call?

Will do but it will be hard to tell if the behavior *changes* as it only happens in maybe 20% cases. So if it happens I report immediately, if not - we'll need to wait a week to say anything.

Actually, each incoming SIP call have no ringtone (it does vibrate, my bad sorry).
I tried "Use partial wake lock" but no ringtone, just vibrate.
When I have GSM incoming call, It has ring and vibration.

Ok, so, I think that's two different problem.
@egrosser : Indeed, that's the reason why I ask to test with wake lock activated, I guess that's a problem due to the fact cpu come in sleep mode and so it blocks things somewhere until you turn on the screen. Keep me in touch with the wake lock. If sounds to improve things at end of the week, I'll try to add something that immediately take a wake lock before doing everything with ringer, and screen enlighting.
@sukasem : Ok. Unfortunately logs you provide me yesterday (regarding the other call quality issue) are only about outgoing calls so I can't reuse it for this issue. Can you produce logs with an incoming call and send these logs to me please? Another thing I'm interested in, does the screen turn on when there is an incoming call? Or it just keep off until you manually turn it on? Is there some of your contacts with custom ringtone (it was implemented recently)? And last point, since I had this one time, there is no ringtone in the earpiece (could be really loud) ?
I ask a lot of questions but the more info I have, the less I can miss something :).

I was running the thing with partial wake lock enabled for about a week (as per comment 6), and I did not observe this problem. Now I run without wake lock and I see it again. That was version 13-02.

Great ! So that's something that I could try : I will use partial wake lock as soon as I receive an incoming call. As you previously had vibration, I guess that I'm callbacked by the native stack at least somewhere that will probably let me wake lock before of being blocked by the cpu lock somewhere else (probably in another thread than the thread that receive the socket activity).
Many thanks for this test. I'll keep you in touch when I'll get a version with this feature.

You should try the last build (0.00-13-07) :
I added a partial wake lock as soon as I receive something from a call, and then release it once ringing ended.
Let me know if it helps.

Marked as fixed, don't hesitate to ask me to reopen if you reproduce the issue.
Thx a lot for this long test !
