What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Make a call with audio backend of OpenSL-ES with no headset plugged in
2. Speak into lower mic (correct one). Sound is very faint.
3. Speak into top mic (incorrect one: next to speaker). Sound is normal.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
OpenSL-ES should use the same mic as Java backend. Wired headsets work fine.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Trunk, Jan 5/12. Gingerbread Infused v2.2.3 on Samsung Infuse 4G (SGH-I997)

Please provide any additional information below.

I really like CSipSimple, but the latency with Java backend is too high, so I need OpenSL-ES to use the correct mic to be fully usable!

I played some more, and it turns out that the wrong microphone is used for the Java back end as well. It's just not as noticeable since the volume is initially better. I tried a few different settings: Mode API, Routing API, micro source without success. Sorry for the initially misleading report!
