The echo service of ekiga behaves a weird way with NAT. You can try 520 it callback you and I usually get better results.
I tried to debug what's going wrong with ekiga echo service, and what ekiga softphone does differently, but I had no luck.
However I didn't spent too much time cause it seems to work correctly when you actually call a "real" remote side (provided the fact stun is activated, but if you use ekiga wizard, it should go fine).
You can also use
sip:*673500@ekiga.net if you want to make a direct echo test.
For reference, issue 205, issue 151 and issue 232 are about the same topic.
