What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Make a call
2. Received audio is choppy and poppy (mixed severity)
3.
What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Received audio is clean
What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Same result with [r944] and [r1047] on motorola droid 3 and tried with 4 different SIP accounts.
Please provide any additional information below.
Spend a long time experimenting with different settings:
- Problem ranges from barely noticeable to unusable
- Problem is reduced setting audio clock to 8kHz
- Problem is reduced with PCMA/U (worse with G729)
- Same problem on WiFi or 3G
- Plenty of bandwidth available
- Jitter values low when problem is small (0 to 5)
- Jitter values high when problem is bad (20+)
- CPU hovering around 30% during call
- Using same accounts on same device but with sipdroid has clean sound
- Skype on this device is poppy (but not choppy)

- Choppy-ness not so bad after a reboot
- Choppy-ness gets worse if I do something else during the call - (e.g. switching to another applications)
