First sorry for my english...
Csipsimple is a excellent application, and i have make a donation to the project.
In this days i compare the consume battery between Csip and the native Sip integrated in gingerbread. I testing with a Samsung GS2 android 2.3.4. Obviously with inbound call actived.
With the native Sip the consume battery (with the phone in standby) was about 1.5% - 1,8% for hour. With Csip was about 5% for hour, and this value makes the app. little usable for receive incoming call.
There is other many user that complain this issue.
So i ask me, why native Sip can have this low consume??
Currently i don't use the native Sip because there is a issue on samsung GS2 about a wrong microphone.
Is possible to copy the "inboud call section" of gingerbread in Csip??
This could makes Csipsimple the absolutly number 1 client Sip for smartphone!!
I use Csip in my job, and i need to receive inbound call all day, but with drain of 5% for hour is not possible.
thanks and greetings from Italy
Riccardo

I suggest you take a look at the keep alive intervals of CSIPSIMPLE and tweak these, I am currently running it with keepalive interval of 360 seconds which lowers CSIPS consume significantly on SGS2. You may find these settings in your account setup choosing expert mode. Be advised that the max. keepalive interval depends on your sip provider and some require shorter keepalive...

Thankyou very much for your suggest!! I have solved my problem. I set the keep alive interval at 480 sec. and now the battery drain is 2% per hour!
My sip provider (Eutelia) works perfectly with this settings.
Regards to all!
Riccardo
