I had the same problem, but it turn out to be a MySQL misconfiguration I think. I´d never used a DB in linux before so I did not bother trying to fix it, so I just installed postgres and it worked fine. Try to run CSCMail in terminal and you see a lot of MySQL errors. (if it is the same problem I had). Post them here! But if I were you I would disable "Delete messages from server" untill this is fixed.
