Gtk is not GNOME. GNOME depends on Gtk, but so does "The Gimp" and many many other applications. GNOME is on top of Gtk (it is another layer) CSCMail does NOT depend on GNOME. It DOES depend on Gtk. > But I have a new question. We don't require "horse shit.h" Now, whatever it is that it REALLY needed, if you don't bother to post legitimate error messages, I can't be bothered to help you. > So, I also installed over 5mb of MySQL. We don't require the use of a database. MySQL and Postgres (among others) are supported, but not required. Again, your attitude is bothersome, but dispite your attempts to color the issue by substituting "horse shit" for valid pieces of the error message, I can still discern what the problem is. You have to create an empty MySQL database with the same NAME as the user you wish to run CSCMail as. BTW: did you bother to read the CSCMail documentation? All of this is clearly spelled out in our docs. > On an unrelated subject (and since I cannot find documentation except > some DB which seems to have been aborted, midterm), can DB not read > gig's > key files or get keys from a key server - must I enter every key > manually > into the address book (why are they there anyway)? gig? DB? Are you referring to GPG and CSCMail? If so, no at this time, CSCMail cannot get keys from the key server. You do need to enter each key in manually for users whom you wish to send encrypted mail to. This is being worked on, but at this point GPG support can be considered BETA. Why are the keys in the address book? where else would you put them? > Thanks in advance, > Dave Upon re-reading your message, I find it very hard to believe that all of the word substitutions are intentional. I also checked the header and noted that you are running 1.6.1 ... There was a spellcheck bug in 1.6.1 that caused multiple wierd substitutions such as is apparent in your e-mail. I strongly advise that you upgrade to 1.7.8 or at the least do not use the spellcheck feature in 1.6.1... -Steve -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Steve Kordik st...@vo...
