[CSCMail-Users] glibconfig.h: No such file or directory

I'm desperate for a decent mail client for linux, so I tried the cscmail
installer.  It resulted in what you see below.  Since new mail clients pop
(sorry) up every few days, should I wait for the next one, or is there a
remedy?

Please specify prototyping behavior for GtkXmHTML.xs (see perlxs manual)
