thanks for the reply, but i think we went through this same
routine several weeks ago when i spent hours and hours trying to
install, failing, asking for help, and getting replies like
this which never solved the problem.

i really wanted to try CSCmail but anything that takes so long to
install, if it installs at all, and has no single installation
mechanism probably has many other problems too.
