It's pretty clear where they stand... CSCmail-perl is no more.Count will
continue to support its users but the focus is on C. Pronto! WAS the cscmail
Perl project. Pronto! will have a db backend. CSCMail will have an indexed
mbox. Choose what you will.

Something you did was wrong. .cscmail should have been moved to .pronto and
.cscmailrc to .prontorc. If you did that then there would be no thinking that
.pronto had taken it over. You would of manually MADE it take it over yourself.
Did you checkout pronto from cvs or cscmail?

Also, as Count has stated, the C version is not in a useful form yet.

Before running configure did you run autogen.sh? 

Another thing... programs from cvs are not guaranteed to run/compile.
