I hope it won't be too long until the dust settles and we can see where these
two programs stand.

Since I was going to try the C version, I renamed my .cscmail directory to
.cscmailold to get it out of the way. I thought that .pronto had taken over
its role.  Wrong!  After fetching the mail, nothing showed up in the message
list. When I gave .cscmail its old name back, I =think= I got all my messages
back.

After fetching from CVS, I first noticed that INSTALL was empty. Then
configure wouldn't run, and I decided I should read changelog. I finally
found the message about autogen.sh and got started. But the process bombed
with:
checking for gnome-print >= 0.13... not found
configure: error: gnome-print 0.13 or later is required to compile CSCMail.

That turned out to not be a simple download and install, so I've decided to
wait for the new Helix-Gnome CD's to get here to try again.
