Ok it looks I had the unstable 1.3 version of GTK installed as well,
that package was removed,
Here is the output of the gtk config
:
gtk12-config --cflags
-I/usr/X11R6/include/gtk12 -I/usr/local/include/glib12 -I/usr/local/include
-I/usr/X11R6/include

What does the output of gtk-config --cflags say? If it doesn't match the
location of the files, no programs that depend on Gtk+ will be able to find
the
headers... Also, it looks to me like you have a couple of different versions
of Gtk+ installed. This is not a good thing. (Hint: there is no Gtk+ 2.0
yet)
