[CSCMail-Users] Correct format of filters

I am having a little trouble getting the filters to work correctly. What
I need to do is to have the messages filtered into various folders
depending on the criteria thats contained in the subject of the emails.

To give an example I need to move messages that contain the sequence
(SHU) or (MAC) or (HER) to a folder name customers. Do I need to make 3
separate filters for these or can they all be combined into one filter?

With version 1.6.1 you can use perl Regular expressions and a single filter:
[(SHU)|(MAC)|(HER)] would work
In version 1.7.8 normal regular expressions have been disabled due to users
incorrectly putting things like *@host.com in the field, and causing cscget to
crash.	I am working on implimenting an option (with the appropriate warning)
to allow an experienced user to have the power of true regex's and yet protect
the inexperienced.  Even with 1.7.8 though, you can still get the same results,
but it takes three filters.

Just committed a new feature to CVS...

"Reply To List"

For those of us on the annoying @gnome.org mailing lists that set the
reply-to: to the sender, and not the list, I added a "Reply to List"
option.

Basically, under "Edit" there is now a "Mailing Lists" option.	Put the
list address and an optional description in there.

Then, when you want to reply to the list instead of a person, just hit
"Alt-L" or use the menus to choose "Reply to List"  It will search the
To: and Cc: fields for a matching list and set the reply accordingly.

DATABASE UPDATE REQUIRED

for postgres:

create table lists (id int4, address text, description text);

What a great new feature!  I'll be looking forward to it being in the C
version.

I upgraded to Mandrake 7.1 and then spent two hours unsuccessfully
trying to get Perl and MySQL to work together. I decided I didn't need
that kind of hassle just to read my mail and swore off Pronto and its
older brother.  I'm using Netscape right now while I wait for your C
version to come out.
