Hey--
I am new to Linux. Although I am having this weird problem, I do agree
that it is the best thing to happen to Linux POP3 mail since the
protocol's inception :)
I left Linux open last night (all night) and when I got up, I had about 3
Linux windows open, telling me that Linux was already running, and to
delete the 'Linux.running' file if it's not supposed to be running.
Well, I delete the file and within a few minutes, it pops up another
error message. I think what might be happening is Linux is timing out on
a slow server, so it doesn't ever close, or delete its lock file. Is
there some way to get CSCMAIL to set a timeout on the servers so it will
give up after 20 seconds or something? or, can I get it to ignore the
lock file? I have my mail set to check every 3 minutes, if something
hangs, it will get piled up pretty quick.
Can anyone help me out of this situation?
Thanks!
