[Cs-studio-users] isConnected() of a child's widget pv?

Hi,
I am looking for a method how to find out in script,
whether a child widget (e.g. text update) of a group has a connected (to
check with isConnected()) pv?
Only knowing the name of the child.

I would think of a chain like this:

child = container.getChild
name = child.get PV Name
pv = unknown.getPV(name)
pv.isConnected()

Is this possible?
