This problem has been solved. It turns out the issue was actually a typo in
the /upgrade/upgrade.xml file in 1.2.0-ALPHA6. I've created a new issue
involving how the XML is interpreted by cs-phpxml; you can look at it [

the dramatics.
On a similar note, I'm working on building an automated build system, which
would (theoretically) be able to test for and catch problems like this. If
