Hi, I have just released the first version (instrument driver plus two classes) of some code, that allows using an FPGA card from National Instruments as a pulsed pattern generator. The code has mainly be developed by Falk Ziegler and is maintained by me from now on. First versions have been made available by Falk Ziegler and Stephen Koszudowski over the past years, but Stephen left after finishing his PhD and Falk is about to finish soon. So I offered to maintain the code from now on. The present code is based on the solution by Falk. As usual, the package CSNI_FPGA_PPG_0.01.zip is available at our site at SourceForge https://sourceforge.net/projects/cs-framework/ or at our via a link from our Wiki page http://wiki.gsi.de/cgi-bin/view/CSframework/LV821 Contained is also a class that allows using the pattern generator by a definition based on letters like "abC", as most of the trap experiments do. This requires a change of the data format on the MM6 class in LabVIEW (not the C++ GUI). This is already working fine in my test environment and will be tested at SHIPTRAP starting from next week on. I expect the new version of the MM6 LabVIEW class to be available to others by the end of November.
