Dear Colleagues, it seem NI (www.ni.com) is about releasing LabVIEW version 8.6. The good news is: NI is typically supporting two versions backward, and LabVIEW 8.2.1 should still be supported. So there is no need to switch to another LabVIEW version within the near future. However, I do expect another LabVIEW version next year and NI will discontinue supporting LabVIEW 8.2.1 at some moment. My personal view is, that discussing a possible migration of CS to another LabVIEW version is not yet urgent. In case LabVIEW 8.6 is followed by LabVIEW 8.6.1, we might consider migrating sometimes next year. In case LabVIEW 8.6 is followed by LabVIEW 9, the decision will be more difficult.
