#4 DB Backup and Restore Problem

Hello,

my Palm Vx crashed and lost all its data so I had to
restore all information. Unfortunately this happend at
the same when I was moving jobs. So I also had to
reinstall all the software on my new PC.

So I installed Palm Desktop and copied the old data
backups to \palm\<user name>\backup\. Then I did a
restore to my handheld.

But strangely not all the data restored to the latest
update.

Though it seems that the data was saved and is
available, the restored data on the Palm is not in the
newest version as of March, 3rd but much older.

Do you have any explanation why that's the case? Could
it have something to da with the Pocket Mirror vs
Hotsync or the Memopad vs CryptoPad?

Any help is appreciated.
