could it be possible to make patch against some 12 or later versions? There is the VM changed, and good to have some not below 2.4.12

I'm using cryptoapi with a 2.4.16 kernel. I do remember having to patch something in cryptoapi, but it was rather trivial.
I'm even using the -enable-iv-mode-sector switch, which was non-trivial but I got it to work.
If someone E-mails me, I'll dig both patches up and post them here. (Can't send you mail if you don't leave your address!)

The latest CryptoAPI releases (2.4.16, 2.4.17, 2.4.18, CryptoAPI 0.1.0-pre4) have just been added to the "Files" section.
