[Cryptix-users] compression

I am using the EncryptedMessageOutputStream to encrypt but not sign a
text file.  I am writing the encrypted output to a file.  The resulting
file is much larger than the original.  The original 6.4 M text files
produces a 6.45M encrypted file.  It is my understanding that
compression occurs automatically.  I tried setting the "compressed"
attribute but that is not supported. Am I missing something?
