Hi, I forgot one item: the encrypted file replaces the
plaintext file. What happens to the unencrypted data?
If you simply delete it will remain stored on the hard
disk and can be recovered with a disk editor.
This means that it would be important that the
plaintext data is securely delete, that is it should be
overwritten with something else, random data for example.
