I have my idle loop set to check once every 60 seconds (we want to have timely builds after a checkin to our trunk). I checked in around noon today (the first person to do so in about a week =96 most people are working on their own branches), and cruisecontrol didn=92t email me after 10 minutes (our normal build is around 5 =96 we=92re early in development). I checked cruisecontrol.log and saw this: 2004-04-19 12:38:47,849 [Project iv4 thread] INFO Project - Project iv4: in build queue 2004-04-19 12:38:47,849 [BuildQueueThread] INFO BuildQueue - now building: iv4 2004-04-19 12:38:47,850 [BuildQueueThread] INFO Project - Project iv4: reading settings from config file [/home/engineer/cruise/config.xml] 2004-04-19 12:38:47,855 [BuildQueueThread] INFO Project - Project iv4: bootstrapping 2004-04-19 12:38:47,855 [BuildQueueThread] INFO Project - Project iv4: checking for modifications 2004-04-19 12:38:47,936 [BuildQueueThread] INFO P4 - p4 -s -c buildbot_iv4_barracuda2 -p integ-l:1666 -u qa describe -s 11144 2004-04-19 12:38:47,937 [BuildQueueThread] ERROR P4 - Log command failed to execute succesfully java.io.IOException: java.io.IOException: Too many open files at java.lang.UNIXProcess.<init>(UNIXProcess.java:143) at java.lang.Runtime.execInternal(Native Method) at java.lang.Runtime.exec(Runtime.java:566) at java.lang.Runtime.exec(Runtime.java:491) at java.lang.Runtime.exec(Runtime.java:457) at net.sourceforge.cruisecontrol.sourcecontrols.P4.describeAllChangelistsAn dBuildOutput(P4.java:176) at net.sourceforge.cruisecontrol.sourcecontrols.P4.getModifications(P4.java :162) at net.sourceforge.cruisecontrol.ModificationSet.getModifications(Modificat ionSet.java:146) at net.sourceforge.cruisecontrol.Project.getModifications(Project.java:294) at net.sourceforge.cruisecontrol.Project.build(Project.java:148) at net.sourceforge.cruisecontrol.Project.execute(Project.java:117) at net.sourceforge.cruisecontrol.BuildQueue.serviceQueue(BuildQueue.java:75 ) at net.sourceforge.cruisecontrol.BuildQueue.run(BuildQueue.java:91) at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:534) 2004-04-19 12:38:47,938 [BuildQueueThread] WARN ModificationSet - A modification has been detected beyond the end of the quiet period.
