cruelganger is one excellent java thread pool framework. it defines some roles contains Task, Worker, Ganger, WorkerPool, and TaskCollector. For user, u just need to use Task interface to describe your task, then add the task to the TaskCollector, then the ganger will auto-schedule worker to finish the task. For developer, you could adjust your worker or workerpool and ganger's policy to change the framework's performence.
