When a player is jailed, and says "sorry", bread and water is generated. However, there is no cap on this, allowing creation of thousands of items in several minutes. Does this warrant fixing? Seen on invidious2.meflin.net 03-29-2014.
Not sure if I have this filed under the right Milestone?

A cap could be easily added by setting a 'count' on the magic ears. I think a reasonable limit would be good, somewhere around 3-5?

Sounds reasonable. Perhaps a more useful and complicated fix: add mana and mana regen to creators, removing 1 mana for every object created. (Of course, I have no idea if this functionality already exists at some level...)

There are probably complicated ways to do this related to mana or connecting to rods or creators.
I've not looked - presumably some of the problem here is that the bread & water that is created has some value, so creating thousands of them gets some amount of gold? Perhaps making sure they are 0 value items would fix it.
Another thought I had is that perhaps if a magic ear is activate, it could slow the player (eg, take time from them) to slow down how fast a player could do this. I suspect one problem here is that saying something is basically a free command, so you can say a lot of stuff quickly. This is somewhat intentional so that you can chat with other players, but is not so good when it comes to activating magic ears.

There really isn't any unfair advantage to be gained by exploiting this, rather I was more concerned that creating lots of objects could be a problem for the server. At some point, the objects were not stacking properly... I don't know if this could ever be a problem for the server, having too many items on one map. Also, trying to pick up the large quantity of objects tended to crash my client. However, that's probably an unrelated bug I've seen in several different circumstances.

I think capping it at 3-5 makes the most sense. I doubt there will be players trying to abuse the free-bread-and-water system, but having an infinite supply of food is somewhat unrealistic, no?

You're not waiting for input from me, are you? :P It sounds fine to me.
