I started crosser project spring 2008 since there was no suitable tool for my cross-compiler environment needs. In four years things have changed. Modern OpenEmbedded has everything cross-compiler side of crosser was meant for, and much more. With that superior system available, there's no point in continuing development of crosser cross-compiler side.
Windows dllstack builder will remain, and that's what crosser project is about in the future.
While cross-compiler side, crosser.sh, is still quite useless, I plan to make new release for the sake of Windows dll stack side development. Previous 0.7 version has been used by many people for running Windows builds Ive made of Freeciv. I have already made stable branch leading to crosser 0.8 release. Opening this Sourceforge project is tied to 0.8 release in that I wanted third party hosting for next dllstack release downloads. Plan is to now on put only temporary test builds to www.cazfi.net, and official releases to sourceforge.
