seems correct.
You may want to get latest version, which allows you to set :var: in 
INSERT too.

that depends on your situation - you may have any mix of system+user 's
configs+vars. The default situation for the 'kit' is a 'per user' setup,
so yes, *.cf, *.mfp are configs, *.crm are progs, *.css and *cache are
vars; in Debian you'd likely have them in ~/.crm114/etc (and perhaps some
system-default in /etc/crm114 and/or /etc/defaults/crm114), /usr/lib/crm114
and ~/.crm114/{cache,data} or /var/lib/crm114/<uid>/{cache,data} resp.
