Is there some way to get Cricket to at least DEF all the datasources
in the current RRD when making a call to 'rrdtool graph'? Some of
the data I need to graph is much more interesting when some
computation is done that refers to other data collected for the same
target (e.g., AdvFS filesystem use should be graphed taking all
mountpoints in the domain into account), and if they were all DEF'd
one could use 'scale=' to do the needed work fairly easily.
(It would be even cooler if I could declare my own DEFs to be added
to the default as one could then refer to other RRDs as well, but
this would be enough for now.)
I know I can use an external gatherer to compute the appropriate
numbers at collection time and just store those, but it'd be more
useful to collect the raw numbers and then compute from them. A bit
of time with google shows that someone did hack Cricket to do this at
some point, but it was quite a while ago and whatever happened it
isn't documented as being in 1.0.5.
