Selecting a file from google drive and telling Android (4.1 Jelly Bean on a Galaxy Nexus) to open the file with Cool Reader 3.0.57-15. Cool Reader runs and displays the message

Trying to load book /data/data/com.google.android.apps.docs/cache/SomeBIgRandomNumber/Book filename.txt

Error occured while loading /data/data/com.google.android.apps.docs/cache/SomeBIgRandomNumber/Book filename.txt

I have tried "Make Available Offline" but I get the same results.

I try to open a text file from google drive, select Cool Reader 3.1.2-33 (Just once) and get a message about trying to open a file from a non-standard location and the path, then I get the error "cannot open book". This is with a file that was "made available offline."

This happens on a Galaxy Nexus 4 running 4.2.2.

I get the same error even when chasing down the copy of the downloaded file in Android\data\com.google.android.apps.docs\files\pinned_docs_files_do_not_edit.
