How can I > get the old <esc> or <ctrl>-L behavior back? Ctrl+L is a native Vim command, only available from insertmode. With &noinsertmode, you can use Ctrl+O to drop to insert mode for one command and Ctrl+\, N (that's Ctrl+\ and then hit the "n" key) to stay in command mode. If you can't break the Ctrl+L habit, you can just re-map it: inoremap <silent> <C-L> <C-\><C-n> Works for me! -- Steve Hall [ digitect dancingpaper com ] :: Cream... usability for Vim :: http://cream.sourceforge.net |
