Hi, Steve... I'd say the cream.desktop file should rather contain: Categories=Application;Utility;TextEditor; Currently you use: Categories=Application;Development; But IMHO cream isn't quite a development tool but rather a text editor from a users point of view. What do you think? I'm tempted to "fix" that in the Debian package. ;) Christoph |

After all there is the desktop standard http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Specifications/menu-spec. But I have to admit that not all categories worked here as expected either. As Robert Metcalfe once said... "Standards are great. Everybody should have one." :) Btw, on Debian gvim is also in "Categories=Application;Utility;TextEditor;" Christoph |
