When I add the line: 'set encoding=utf-8'

to the 'cream-gui.vim' file (in my winXP system),

Then  In the menu what used to be asterisk  is displayed as a square.
It seems that the encoding changes also in the menu font.

When I manually change the encoding in a cream session, it has no effect on the menu.

Is there a way to get through that? Is it possible to change the definition of the menu font separately ?
