Today the latest version 0.8 of the Crafter 2D engine has been released to the public. In the end the goal is to design your game all within the Workshop and then be able to run it without any hassle. With this new version a huge step was taken in that direction. It comes with many new features and bug fixes that enable you to develop your game within the Crafter Workshop application. You can read the full list of improvements in the change log.

In this new release the engine also got improvements. One of these is the enhanced particle system! It now runs on both DirectX and OpenGL targets. Also text rendering has been added, which will be used by the UI system thats in the planning for a next release!
