I got a via motherboard a amd athlon xp 2400+ running on gentoo. I
emerged the latest cpufreqd (cpufreqd-1.0.1), with kernel 2.6-test2.
Now I use the new cpufreqd my computer crashes when I disconect
my computer from a power source. My display freezes and no input
works also audio stops working

    I just noticed that the old version also crashes I gues the problem is in my new 2.6-test2 kernel :$

    Could you try to change speed/governor manually?
    What happens when you disconnect from power supply is that
    cpufreqd tries to put your cpu in powersave mode. If the
    computer crashes also changing frequency manually it's a
    kernel problem.
    This problem is been reported for an athlon xp 1800+,
    resulting in a kernel problem.
