Hi Everybody! I apreciate your help on this RedHat Linux issue. We have a Customer that has the following environment: 3x ProLiant DL360G1 with one DAT 20/40GB External Tape Drive for all of = them; 2x ProLiant DL380G2 with one DAT 20/40GB Hot Plug Tape Drive for both = servers; All of this servers have Linux installed (versions 7.2 and 7.1). Customer wants to do backup of the data of this servers, BUT, as our = Technical Support said:=20 "Tape Drives on Embedded Array Controller Not Supported by Cpqarray = Driver The Linux cpqarray driver does not support tape drives. Either an = additional SCSI controller must be added to control the tape drive, or an = additional array controller must be added for the hard drives and the Integrated = Smart Array cache chip be removed from the System I/O Board." Our questions: 1. There is any new cpqarray Linux driver that supports both Drives and = Tape Drive on the same SCSI bus? If not, there are any future plans for = it? 2. In case that we don't have any software/driver solution, please let = us now how can we solve this issue with minimum costs for customer.
