Is there a way to get the kernel to recognize a new logical drive without rebooting? My System is a ML370 with Integrated Smart Array Controller and RedHat Linux. I added some disks and built a new logical drive. Now I want to add this drive to a LVM logical volume and then extend the reiserfs on top of that. My problem is, that i can't access the new logical drive (should be /dev/ida/c0d3) with fdisk or an other tool. Do I have to reset the cpqarray kernel module (if yes how do I do that). -- --------------------------------------------------------------------------- DI Bernhard F.W.
